Workplace Crisis Management

Directions EAP is available to assist your organization with crises that happen in the workplace.  Many of these crises are unanticipated such as an employee death or injury, robberies, workplace violence, or stressful workplace challenges.  There are also anticipated crises in the workplace such as corporate reorganization and downsizing.  Research has shown that with crisis intervention, employees are able to have a more full and prompt recovery from the event.  Directions EAP has trained and experienced crisis management consultants to help you address this issue when it arrives.

We provide crisis management services to organizations who do not have an EAP benefit through Directions EAP on a fee for use basis.

Our crisis management team has responded to numerous incidents of robbery, workplace injury, death of a valued employee or particularly stressful work situations.  These interventions are customized to the work group needs and can include:

  • Critical Incident Stress Debriefing at the worksite
  • Onsite availability of crisis counselor for group or individual sessions
  • Assistance in developing internal communication pieces
  • One – on-one crisis counseling with affected individual(s) at the Directions EAP office
